Mordekye Layman

Mordekye Layman (born August 19, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and musician. Mordekye was born at the Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor, Washington, though he and his family moved to Spokane, Washington shortly thereafter. Mordekye started his musical career with the band Lucia's Gray Dot before going solo in 2004. He released only one album, an EP entitled The Architect in August 2007, noted for its "tighter studio production" and showcasing Mordekye as "one of the most talented young singer-songwriters in town." Mordekye dissappeared from the music scene in mid-2008, his popularity waning, apparently due to drug-addiction and mental illness. As of December 2009, his website states that Mordekye Layman is, "no longer active," and alludes to upcoming musical endeavors, namely with the band PAWS.
