Momphelio Santalana (born December 11, 1985) is an Indonesian film director and screenwriter. Momphelio graduated in Spring 2007 from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, where he majored in Film. His thesis film Dinner at Eight premiered at the 2007 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films. The 26-minute short film is the first part of the 'Twisted Love and Marriage Trilogy,' inspired by the morbid tales of Edgar Allan Poe. Each film features highly-stylised theatrical designs and the use of oversaturated colors in contrast of the somber subject matters.
