Momentum Games was started in 2003 by Neil Armstrong.

The first game released was Pocket Mini Golf. It went straight to #1 in the download charts at Handango and went on to win numerous awards. The sequel has also been a great success with multiple "themed" expansion packs, each one introducing new gaming elements.

Other games include Meltdown, Drum Kit Ace, Pop Drop, Fruit Bomb and Gold Mine.

All games use the Momentum Engine code library which eases cross-platform development.

Emgee
In 2006 Momentum Games introduced their company mascot Emgee, a metallic blue robot with a large head. Emgee was designed by both Neil Armstrong and Nick Tarte. The original 3D model of Emgee was created by David Spare. In 2006 Emgee was used as the central character in the game Meltdown, a jet pack was added to his back to support Meltdown's game mechanics. The name Emgee comes from the way "MG" (the company logo) sounds when spoken.

Pocket Mini Golf
Pocket Mini Golf was the first game to be developed by Momentum Games and was released in September 2003. It is a crazy (putt-putt) golf game featuring colourful isometric graphics. The four golfers are children originally designed by Daniel Hunter. The golfers have a cute Manga influenced appearance with oversized heads.

Pocket Mini Golf 2 was first released in April 2005. It featured two extra golfers, multiplayer and a variety of new course obstacles (springs, timed barriers, conveyor belts etc). A number of expansion packs were planned during the development of Pocket Mini Golf 2, each one adding an extra 21 holes, new game elements and secret holes.

*Fire Island - featuring fire and lava
*Lost World - featuring disappearing and timed platforms
