Molly Lewis

Molly Lewis is a singer and songwriter from Orange County, California, she is known for making YouTube videos (under the name Sweetafton23) of both covers of songs, and several original songs. Her first cover video on YouTube was of the Britney Spears song "Toxic" and it has received over 400,000 views, the video was featured on both Digg and CollegeHumor She plays both a Concert and Baritone sized ukulele and sings, she also occasionally uses a Kazoo and in a collaborative video with another musician, she is seen playing an Accordion.

* Molly Lewis is participating in the "Masters of Song Fu" contest at QuickStopEntertainment, the competition is currently still in progress. The contest runs in such a way that it is divided into Challengers and Masters, the winners from both categories meet one another in the final round of the competition. Molly has won the competition among the challengers and has thereby advanced to the final round where she will compete with Paul and Storm, the winners from the Masters category.
*One of her songs - "I Pity The Fu" - is featured on the album "DFTBA Records, Volume One".
* She performed at a concert on April 26th, 2008 in Seattle alongside Jonathan Coulton and Paul and Storm, again in Seattle with the trio on January 23rd, 2009, and in Portland, OR with them on January 24th, 2009.
*She won the "Ukulele Video of the Year 2007" award at UkuleleHunt, with her cover of the Jonathan Coulton song "Tom Cruise Crazy".
*Her cover of the Jonathan Coulton song was featured on the website Boing Boing, alongside another cover of the song on ukulele.
Reoccurring Themes
Many of her songs are satires of different aspects of internet culture. Her song "MyHope" criticizes the website MySpace, by questioning what it would be like if someone who previously had a MySpace page, was to have children, and their children were to discover the page. She also wrote the song "It all Makes Sense at the End", which involved the personification of , it pointed out several perceived flaws in the website which could also apply to a human being.
