BlueMelon is a new web-service owned by the M. L. K. Corporation which provides its users with a free storage so as to allow them to share and present their photos. It is a Web 2.0 application using mostly AJAX and benefiting from the Drag & Drop system. It has come out of beta in April 2009 Features * three organization levels : categories, albums, photos * three upload methods : single photo web-based uploader ; java-plugin based multi-file uploader ; downloadable java application serving as both a multi-file uploader and a complete management tool * layout and privacy customization ; possible privacy settings - public, private, unlisted, password protected - applicable to either albums or individual photos * a SlideShow with a fullscreen mode - runnable without installing or downloading additional software * offers a complex application interface allowing other developers to write their own applications using the BlueMelon infrastrucutre Storage *the data are safely stored on Amazon S3 Accounts * a free account - 1 GB of storage available * a paid account - unlimited storage available
