Mojix

Mojix, Inc. is an American software company that provides item-level inventory management and traceability solutions for business supply chains. Its products include cloud-hosted SaaS-based software platforms that leverage RFID, NFC, barcodes and other auto identification data to track the lifecycles of items throughout supply chains. Founded in 2004, the company is based in Los Angeles, CA and has offices in the US, Latin America and Europe.
History
Mojix was founded in 2004 by former NASA scientist, Dr. Ramin Sadr. In 2001, Dr. Sadr began developing the technology that would become the RFID systems sold under the name Mojix. With help of venture capital, Mojix was founded and incorporated in August 2004. Mojix received funding from InnoCal and Red Rock Ventures in September, 2005. After initial funding, the company delivered the Mojix STAR product in May, 2006. Series B funding was completed in mid-2007 with lead investor Oak Investment Partners.
In 2015 Dan Doles became President and Chief Executive Officer of Mojix. Also in 2015, Mojix acquired La Paz, Bolivia-based software provider TierConnect and its subsidiary CodeRoad.
In 2017 Mojix merged with France-based RFID solution provider CXignited.
In 2020 Mojix sold its RFID hardware business to Acceliot
On May 10, 2022, Mojix was acquired by an affiliate of Peak Rock Capital of Austin, TX. Peak Rock Capital is a middle-market private investment firm that makes equity and debt investments in companies in North America and Europe.
Key Management
Dan Doles, President and Chief Executive Officer - Before joining Mojix, Dan co-founded Connexive Inc. in 2009 a B2C data mining software company. Previous to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of WhereNet, an industry leader in Real-Time Location Systems and Solutions, from 1997 until 2007 and served as Vice President and General Manager of the Wherenet Division at Zebra Technologies from 2007 to 2008 subsequent to Zebra’s acquisition of WhereNet in 2007. Dan joined WhereNet from enterprise application software maker PeopleSoft. At PeopleSoft he served as Vice President of Business Operations after it acquired Red Pepper Software, a supply chain advanced planning software company where he was co-founder and Vice President of Business Operations. During six years at Ernst & Young, Dan managed the group responsible for manufacturing and high technology industry services.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Jose State University.
Gustavo Rivera, Chief Technology Officer - He previously served as Founder & Chief Technology Officer at TierConnect and its engineering subsidiary CodeRoad which were acquired by Mojix in 2015. Prior to Mojix and TierConnect, Gus was the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect across several SaaS platforms including SupplySolution, bConnected, Covaleo and others.
Gus holds a BS in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Estelle Huynh, Chief Business Operations Officer - Prior to joining Mojix, Estelle was Head of Product at Transatel, a global connectivity provider. Estelle started her career as a Telecom & Media Strategy Consultant at BearingPoint, where she assisted major telecom operators in global corporate and product strategy definition and large-scale product deployments.
Estelle holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Telecom ParisTech in Paris.

Awards & Recognition
FDA Food Safety Challenge - in September, 2021, US Food and Drug Administration announced the names of the 12 winners of the FDA New Era of Smarter Food Safety Low-or No-Cost Tech-Enabled Traceability Challenge. Mojix’s SaaS platform ytem was selected out of 90 submissions.
