Moises Lino e Silva

Moises Lino e Silva is a Brazilian born Anthropologist working in the UK. He holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasilia (UnB), an MSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics (LSE) and is currently a PhD Candidate in Social Anthropology at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of articles such as "The Importance of the Informal in the City of the Future" - written with Gareth Doherty - published by Kerb Australia, Vol. 16, 2008. Lino e Silva is mostly known by his engaging research topics, which include the Anthropology of Freedom, Postdevelopment and Urban Anthropology. Recently he has been awarded the prestigious CAS Scholarship from the University of St Andrews and the highly competitive FURS Award from the UK Foundation for Urban and Regional Studies.
