Mohit Sukhija (born on 23 October 1992) is an Indian born actor who made his debut in the film Dil Kya Kare at the age of seven.; the film is about an architect and his family whose life is thrown into turmoil, thanks to the unexpected arrival of their adopted daughter’s biological mother. Since then, Mohit has gone on to play a variety of roles, appearing in plays such as The Apricot Jar, which saw an ambitious cast of over 150 explore a variety of themes designed to encourage the viewer to question their beliefs. He has also acted in the 2012 theater production of the Shakuntala Doll by Christ University. Mohit’s relationship with Christ University has also seen him represent the university when he performed for the Bangalore Mirror Amateur Theater Festival in 2011. Mohit was a member of the cast of Aatmakatha. In 2012 Mohit was among those selected to perform at the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai at their annual theater festival, Thespo. He joined other youths in the performance of a street play titled Proud to be Indian, which views the Indian political system from a tongue-in-cheek perspective. In 2013 Mohit went on to join the cast of the comedy Gasping. The play, which was written by English comedian Ben Elton and directed by Ashish Sen, is a comedy about corporate entities that resort to selling air to deal with the planet’s rising levels of pollution. Alongside Mohit’s extensive experience in the acting world, he has joined the Centerstage new media movement, where has had been finely tuning his acting skills.
