Mohamed Ibrahim El-Dessouki (), was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He Graduated from Alexandria University in June 1971 and worked for the Ministry of Information, then later moved to the Ministry of Education. Mohamed El-Dessouki has since worked for many newspapers such as Al-Ahram, Asharq-el-Awsat, El-Wassat Magazine, Akhbar El Arab, El-Nassriya, Al-Quds Al Arabi and the Iraqi Al-Thawra newspaper; a consultant with the London based Arab Telegraph, and Vice Editor-in-Chief of the Egyptair Magazine. Editor-in-Chief for Al-Qawafel Magazine and Editor for "Al-Muslimoon". Later, he moved into TV and Radio. With Spectrum FM and BBC he made notable interviews with individuals such as Dr. Ali Al-Saloos, Dr. Mohamed Abulayla, the first Egyptian specialist of Acupuncture Samir Mostafa and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher; and produced over 90 programmes for MBC (both FM and TV). Recently, he has become a regular guest on Al-Hiwar, Al-Mustakila and Al-Kawthar TV Stations. Mohamed El-Dessouki is the former Education and Culture Chair of the Egyptian Community Board in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
