Massoud Derhally

Massoud A. Derhally (born 1973) is a Jordanian journalist currently working out of Beirut, Lebanon for Bloomberg News leading its political and economic coverage of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. Prior to his current position he covered aviation and transportation across the Middle East out of Dubai for Bloomberg, which he joined in 2006. He was previously the Diplomatic Editor (2005-2006) of Arabian Business, a weekly magazine that is part of the Dubai-based ITP publishing group.
Before joining Arabian Business he was a freelance journalist and contributed and/or reported for the International Herald Tribune, The New York Times, Electronic Intifada, The Independent , The Washington Times, the Washington Post's Slate magazine, Dow Jones Newswires, The Straits Times of Singapore, Lebanon's Daily Star, Egypt's Al-Ahram Weekly, United Press International, Arabies Trends and Bidoun.
He was also formerly a correspondent for Agence France Presse where he covered the Persian Gulf and was deputy editor (2001-2003) of the monthly Arabian Business magazine before that.

He holds a Masters in Business and International Finance from Boston University as well as a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental & African Studies , University of London and a Bachelor in International Relations from Clark University.
