Mind of a Genius Records, abbreviated as ‘MOAG’, is a Los Angeles/ United Kingdom record label which is owned and was founded in 2013 by David Dann. Its genre consists of a range and blends of musical styles including R&B and Indie Rock. History The Mind of a Genius Record Company was founded by David Dann who worked in the music industry for over 9 years as a DJ. Dann currently runs MOAG with Los Angeles rapper, Azad Naficy, who serves as the Vice President of the company. In 2013, Dann took this vision and opened his recording studios in Culver City of Los Angeles, in the same vicinity of Apple Music’s Store. MOAG’s Los Angeles Head office is located alongside their recording studio which was once the studio of David Geffen in the 80’s. Dann and Naficy, both being music artists themselves, stated that they would like this label to reflect the artists’ true expression without any outside influences.
