Milroy Goes is a Goan short Filmmaker, born on September 3rd, 1986. Hailing from Cuncolim Goa India. Earned fame as an Artist (painter / Sketcher) and now in Films as Director, Film Editor in Goa,India.
Biography
He came into the limelight of the Film Industry (Goa) in 2009 with his second short film "[http://www.last.fm/music/Regina+Dias+ft+Allan+(OST+-+UNEXPECTED+a+film+by+Milroy+Goes) UNEXPECTED]" (Part 1), which went for screening at International Film Festival of India (IFFI Goa) "Chota Cinema Center" 2009. And has won hearts of the audience for the remarkable direction and story.
He had a long passion in film-making, His debut short film "VENGEANCE" which was made in 2007, casting just his younger brother Rohan Austin Goes and his friends. His neighborhood friend Khabir Moraes who did the cinematography just on a handy-cam. It was a Taekwondo action short film, about Internet hacking and revenge. His brother's friend Hussain Golandas directed the action sequence and the entire short film was written and directed by Milroy Goes himself with Zero Budget; he then sent it for Sony Pix Short film where he did not win any acknowledgment. But the short film was circulated among his friends and was famous in the locality.
Later than that, he partnered with various Productions, into Film Editing, Directing and even Casting. His greatest achievement was being a part as Production Manager for Goa shoots of "Pearls Group of Companies" Ad film with MWFilms Delhi based production, casting Cricket celebrity 'Brett Lee'.
In year 2010 he came across to the Frenchmen "Anthony Coombs-humphreys", a tourist who was holidaying in GOA, happen to watch his short film "UNEXPECTED" and offered him to produce the remake of the same old short film in 45mins duration, casting Bollywood actor Deepraj Rana, Jan Bostock, Apoorva Sharma and the other local actors. Made the remake "expect the UNEXPECTED" written and directed by Milroy Goes with Production support from the leading production house D&A Production in Goa. Releasing this IFFI 2011
Then later he signed R&B Singer from Boston USA K'Loni Sky Unexpected Original Sound Track, that later was remixed by Goan musicians and Dj's like Dj.KsK (Khalandar Shah), Daulat Palyekar, Datta Gawas. The short film also features song snippets from the singers like Anna Chris (Netherlands), Khabir Moraes "Visorchona mix" (Goa, India), Erica Viegas "Thank you"(Canada), Varun Carvalho "The Goa song" (Goa). His mentor Anthony Coombs-humphreys, who not only believed in his potential added great opportunity to remake his old short film for Larger Audience.
