Millennium Shakespeare

Millennium Shakespeare is a series of illustrated editions of the works of Shakespeare, re-written in modern prose. It is expected that the complete canon of shakespeare plays will be translated into modern prose for Millennium Shakespeare series, it is currently a work in progress. The series is edited by author Jefrrey Kahan and written by author Michael J Stewart.
Three titles have been published todate - King Lear, The Winter's Tale, The Merry Wives of Windsor,
The Millennium stories are written in prose and tell the narrative of the original plays by William Shakespeare
Different artists from around the world are being commissioned to paint each story of Shakespeare for the Millennium Shakespeare. There are 38 planned titles to the Millennium Shakespeare using one artist from each country for each title. 6 works of art plus manuscript letter will be used for each title.

This is a wonderful series to introduce young readers to the bard (Shakespeare) beautifully introduced with wonderful ar t works from excellent artists from many countries. 
 
Definitely worth reading and wonderful for an introduction of culture to your children
