Mike Philson

Michael Anderson (Born November 21,1986) better known by his stage name Mike Philson, is an American rapper, producer, and songwriter of Geechee and African-American Ancestry. Originally from Plainfield, NJ, Philson is the current CEO of MultiMinds Productions, and is based in Los Angeles, California.
About Mike Philson
He is a 2008 Graduate of Harvard College, where he studied Government and started several businesses, including MultiMinds Productions. He was recognized (under his given name) for his contributions to the community, as a leader in the Harvard Black Men's Forum and passion for Hip-Hop at the traditionally elite institution. He was active in writing and developing the Remix Magazine and dedicated himself to social causes and constructing a positive Black male image from the outset of his collegiate career. He was also involved in gathering a database of students involved in community service along with label-mate Marcus Miller..
After graduating, Philson entered Investment Banking in New York City, then relocated to Atlanta and operated an educational services company before deciding to focus fully on music. . He is reported to have left a high-profile job at a foreign bank in order to pursue a career in Hip-Hop. .
Music Career
He released Harvardboyrapstar to moderate success in early 2010. This demo disc amassed over 10,000 hits the first day of its release on the MultiMinds Productions Website.. The demo culminated in a tour in Asia, and the 2010 video release of "On My Way Home." He then released an EP featuring "Rajon Rondo" which went viral through the 2009-2010 Boston Celtics Basketball Season. Then Philson relocated back to NYC, and released In My Momma's House, another mixtape while performing in the NJ/NYC metro area. Philson is currently working on The Purple Album, scheduled for late Summer 2011 release..
He has released several mixtapes independently, and is currently working on another project featuring his mates at MultiMinds Productions: Krazy Kiotic Bayyan, Marcus Miller, and Wyldtree, to name a few. Collectively, they have performed and developed a fanbase spanning three continents..
