Michael Joseph Arroyo (born January 9, 1985), better known by his stage name Mike Adam (formerly Prolifik), is an Albanian-American radio and television personality, and former ' Magazine columnist and hip-hop artist. He's represented by Don Buchwald And Associates and CMEG He can be heard on Fresh 102.7 in New York City and 107.5 KZL in Greensboro, North Carolina. Adam was previously a music correspondent on the television shows VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown and Inside Edition, and has been seen frequently on the Music Choice network as well. Career Adam spent the early years of his radio career with iHeartMedia, having hosted nights on Hartford, Connecticut's WKSS/Kiss 95.7 for several years, then nights on Philadelphia's Q102 until being laid off in August 2014. Adam decided to drop his former stage name, Prolifik, soon after landing in Philadelphia. While with iHeart, Adam was a part of its RCHR Premium Choice syndicated programming. Some of the stations he could be heard on across the country via voice-tracking included Boston's Kiss 108, Washington, D.C.'s Hot 99.5, Atlanta's Wild 105.7 & 96.7, Baltimore's Z104.3, Austin, Texas's 102.3 The Beat, Phoenix, Arizona's 104.7 Kiss-FM, and others. CBS Radio-owned Fresh 102.7 in New York City is currently his flagship station. He can be heard Monday through Friday, 3-7 p.m. Adam first joined CBS Radio following his exit from iHeart in 2014. He hosted weekends on 92.3 AMP Radio in NYC, until the company sent him back to Philly to compete against his former station, Q102, doing afternoon drive on the newly launched 96.5 AMP Radio. AMP Philly was short lived. CBS Radio flipped the station to Hot AC at the end of 2016, and Adam went back to weekends and fill-shifts on AMP NYC. In September 2017, Fresh brought on Mike Adam full-time to do afternoon drive, 3-7 p.m., Monday through Friday. In July 2011, after 10 weeks of fan voting, RadioFacts.com named Adam, then known as Prolifik, the number-one DJ in the country. Adam's first job in television was as an entertainment reporter on Hartford, Connecticut's CW-affiliate, WCCT-TV, where he was nominated for a regional Emmy Award for his work on the station. His first national television break happened when Mark Cuban brought him on board the newly launched AXS TV as its East Coast correspondent. Adam has also been seen on Fuse, Epix, VH1, Music Choice, The Movie Loft, and locally on Philadelphia's WPHL-TV. In January 2013, Adam (alongside co-host Hayley Marie Norman) hosted a two-part music special Real Music Live on NBC-owned television stations. Markets included New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Miami. Music Prior to getting into radio, Adam began rapping while in high school. In December 2007, he advanced to the finals in the Apollo Theater's competition "Amateur Night at the Apollo". Two singles released by Prolifik saw some success on the radio charts "Broke", a spoof of T-Pain's song "", and "Drunk Dialing". Personal life
