Miihkali Antreinpoika Golitsin

prince Miihkali Antreinpoika Galitzin (1639-1687) was governor of Pihkova.
He was born posthumous in early 1639. His parents were Eufemia Jurintytär Piliamova-Saburova and her husband, the late 1638 deceased prince Antrei Antreinpoika Galitzin, governor of Sibiria and voivode of Tobolsk, whose father was prince Antrei Iivananpoika Golitsin, an earlier governor of Pihkova territory (source: Europäische Stammtafeln, vol 23).
He belonged to a princely family lineage which long held lands and high positions in the regions of Pihkova and Ingria and generally the republic of Veliki Novgorod and the provinces that the republic was reduced to since 1478 by Russians of Moscow.
Since 1682, Miihkali Antreinpoika Golitsin was governor of Pihkova territory (according to prosopographical account/ biography published by Ikonnikov, 1934).
One of his sons was field marshal, prince Miihkali Miihkalinpoika Golitsin, who was commander-in-chief of the occupation forces in Finland during the great wrath, between 1714 and 1721.
