Mid-Cities Mall

Mid-Cities Mall (later Lakeview Centre) was an enclosed shopping mall located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on the western shores of Lake Michigan.
History
Opened in 1968 as Mid-Cities Mall, it was the first enclosed shopping center in the Manitowoc-Two Rivers area. The mall was anchored by J. C. Penney and Montgomery Ward. Other major stores included , Osco Drug, and A&P. A Hardee's was also located on the property until it closed in 1996.
An adjacent mall, Edgewater Plaza (now Lakeshore Mall), was constructed in 1979.
Montgomery Ward closed in the mid-1980s. The mall's interior closed in 2000 while JCPenney remained in business until January 2011.
The mall's current owner is Steve Elkind, a psychologist who resides in Madison. He acquired the property in 2007 and also owns Lakeshore Mall.
Demolition
In 2014, Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels announced plans to have the mall demolished to make way for new development.
