Michelle Eileen McNamara (Died 21 April 2016 in Los Angeles) was an American crime writer. McNamara graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Minnesota. She founded the website True Crime Diary, which covers both breaking stories and cold cases. She also featured in the Discovery programm A Crime to Remember. She married with actor Patton Oswalt (known from: Veep, Agents of SHIELD and The King of Queens, and films including Magnolia, Starsky & Hutch and Ratatouille) and had a 7 years old daughter called Alice.
McNamara died in her sleep in her home in Los Angelas.
