Michael G. Wilmot

Michael G Wilmot is a Canadian Playwright living in London Ontario Canada.(Born Windsor Ontario, October 3, 1952) His comedies have had productions across Canada and the United States. Wilmot has written free-lance for the Jay Leno Tonight Show monoloque and for Kevin Nealon on the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update segment. For a time he had a regular column in the Laughter Prescription newsletter. His plays have been featured in the London Ontario and Hamilton Ontario Fringe Festivals and have won two "Best Original Script" awards at the London One Act Festival. He has also written a number of short plays which have been performed many times in Canada and the United States.
Wilmot attended primary school in Napanee Ontario, high school in Sarnia Ontario and the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College in London Ontario. He worked as on air talent in radio stations across Ontario Canada before turning to acting and playwriting. He has appeared in a number of television shows, commercials and films.
