Michael A. Pagliarulo, PT, EdD, is an emeritus professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College and the author of Introduction to Physical Therapy He received an EdD from Syracuse University, MA in physical therapy from the University of Southern California, BA in biology and BS in physical therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Pagliarulo has dedicated his career to physical therapy profession as an educator and advocate. Throughout his career, his contributions have been recognized by APTA and NYPTA with multiple awards, including the Outstanding Service Award, the Dr. Marilyn Moffat Distinguished Service Award, the Dorothy E. Baethke-Eleanor J. Carlin Award for Teaching Excellence, the New York Chapter's Normal Chadwick and the Lucy Blair Service Award.
