Michael Schuman is an award winning author of many travel and young adult nonfiction books Early life Michael Schuman is an American author. He was born on April 18, 1953 in West Hartford, Connecticut. His father, David, was a pharmacist and his mother, Fay, was a stay at home mom. Ever since the second grade all Mr. Schuman wanted to do was write. Michael Schuman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in television-radio from Syracuse University in 1975. He received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 1977. Works Schuman has written 35 books in both the travel and young adult non-fiction genres. Topics include biographies of Barack Obama, Bill Cosby, Charles Schulz, Bob Dylan, Angelina Jolie, and several U.S. presidents. His travel articles have appeared in several magazines and over 180 newspapers. One of Schuman's newest books is called "Adam Sandler: Celebrity with Heart,” which was published in fall 2010. In 2011 Tina Fey:TV Comedy Superstar" and "Scarlett Johansson: Hollywood Superstar." were both his most recent pieces of work that were released. Awards Schuman has won 15 NATJA (North American Travel Journalists Association) awards for excellence in travel journalism, including a grand prize for overall excellence for his book, “52 New York Weekends. Personal life Michael Schuman has a wife and 2 children,and is the youngest in his family.He is currently resides in Keene New Hampshire.
