MHX First Defense

MHX First Defense is an antivirus and antispyware program developed by Microhardxce for the Windows Operating System. Being released for free, it quickly scans a computer for files that matches definitions in its database. Unique to this program is the integration of a "Live Help" section where users can quickly connect to a chat room of MHX Staff to help diagnose PC problems. Version 2.4 is the current version and introduces an auto-update feature. However, while the program is compatible with Windows XP, it may also be semi functional under Windows 2000 and 9x. Tools included in MHX First Defense * On Demand Process and Antivirus Scanner * Auto-Update system * Process Explorer * Memory Information and Usage Monitor * Network Usage Monitor * Live Help Chat Client. Live Help Chat Client Unlike other antivirus programs, MHX First Defense includes a integrated chat client that is free for its users. Attempting to provide faster support over traditional email support, MHX First Defense allows users instant access to the creators of the program for PC help. Criticism MHX First Defense has been criticised for having a small database of definitions and a primitive method of detection compared to most other available antivirus solutions. See Also
