Metaforic

Metaforic was founded in 2006 and is a privately held, VC-backed company with operations in the USA, EU and Japan. Metaforic provides security products based on patented technology to protect and harden software applications against tampering, subversion, code injection, IP theft, piracy and other forms of malicious hacking.
Metaforic offer solutions in a number of markets, protecting many different forms of software applications. Its primary product line, Metaforic Core, integrates with a software developer’s own build environment to create an anti-tamper version of their code, ensuring that it is protected from the point of compilation through to distribution and use.
In 2009 MetaFortress was adopted by Nintendo and six other publishers to protect games console software from piracy.
In May 2012 the company announced that it had extended its product range to include protection for financial applications on Android and in June 2012 Metaforic announced support for its anti-tamper software on iOS.
