Meribeth Burton

Meribeth Burton is a Canadian journalist and public relations consultant, currently a corporate spokesperson for BC Transit.
Previously, she was a Canadian journalist, best known for her work as a television news anchor and reporter. She was a senior Rpeporter and back-up anchor at CIVI-TV in Victoria, British Columbia.
Background and news career
Burton was born in Sudbury, Ontario and started her journalism career in 1989 reporting for MCTV in Sudbury and Timmins until 1993.
Burton then moved to CHEK-TV in Victoria as the weekend anchor. Over her twelve years with the station, she served as anchor of that station's news programs.
In 2004, Burton joined CIVI as senior reporter and back-up anchor until August 2011.
Awards
Burton's work has been recognized with numerous RTNDA and CANPRO awards.
