MerchantTribe is a free, open source e-commerce solution that is ASP.NET MVC based with a MS SQL database and is written in . It is available under the Open Software License and launched in November, 2011. MerchantTribe is the new name for the 6th version of the BV Commerce platform which was released as the first commercial .NET shopping cart in February 2002. Earlier releases of MerchantTribe (under the BV Commerce name) won the Internet Retailer Magazine Reader's Choice Awards for 4 years running. MerchantTribe differentiates itself from other shopping cart systems by focusing on analytics and A/B Testing to provide feedback to merchants. Performance data is gathered from stores using the MerchantTribe platform and suggestions on how to increase sales are delivered back to store owners. Source code is available on GitHub and CodePlex.
