nopCommerce is an open source e-commerce solution that is ASP.NET 3.5 based with a MS SQL 2005 (or higher) backend database. It is available under the nopCommerce Public License and officially launched in October 2008 for small to medium-sized businesses. nopCommerce has a young but growing community of contributors. It is a very active community that is developing a robust ASP.NET open source e-commerce application. Minimum requirements nopCommerce is available to download as a RAR file, approximately 10MB in size. nopCommerce, has the following prerequisites: * IIS 5.1 or above * ASP.NET 3.5 SP1 * MS SQL 2005 or above * Windows installed operating system * MS Visual Studio 2008 or above(required for developers who want to edit source code) Releases nopCommerce 1.0 was released on October 23, 2008. nopCommerce 1.2 was released on June 16, 2009. nopCommerce 1.4 was released on December 6, 2009. nopCommerce 1.5 was released on March 23, 2010.
