Melody Green

Melody Kay Green, née Steiner, is an American speaker, writer and songwriter of Christian music. She was the wife of musician, singer and songwriter Keith Green (1953 - 1982), with whom she co-wrote many songs.
Biography
Melody Green was born in Hollywood, California, on August 25, 1946. Her grandparents were Jewish refugees fleeing persecution in the Ukraine. Her mother was their first child born in America. Green was raised in Venice and Santa Monica and graduated from Venice High School in 1964. She bought a guitar and began playing and writing songs. In 1969 Green received an AA degree in Fashion Design, and worked in the Los Angeles Fashion District.
In 1973 she met and married Keith Green, who had gained notability as a young entertainer and they began writing songs together. Eighteen months into their marriage in 1975 the couple became followers of Jesus. While keeping their Jewish identity they served in Christian circles and began helping those with needs wherever found. They bought and rented several houses in Woodland Hills, CA and filled them with young people needing help. In 1977 they founded Last Days Ministries (LDM). Its creation coincided with the release of Keith's first Christian music album, For Him Who Has Ears To Hear.

Current life
Melody Green is currently President and CEO of Last Days Ministries and continues to be a sought-after speaker throughout the United States as well as internationally. Green presently resides in Kansas City, Missouri Her daughters Rebekah and Rachel are married and live in California and Missouri, respectively. Melody has two grandsons.
