Meeting Architecture is the multidisciplinary profession of designing the content, form and processes in meetings, based on measurable objectives. A Meeting Architect helps meeting owners and meeting organizers in four phases 1. Identify the objectives and write them down with measurable desired outcomes 2. Design the meeting in a way that it becomes most effective vis-à-vis the set objectives 3. Execute the meeting as a leader for the suppliers, monitoring if the design is executed as planned 4. Assessing results and reporting back to the meeting owner about the results and possible modifications for the next meeting The discipline of meeting architecture uses existing knowledge from other disciplines, professions, industries and sciences. - On the professional side a meeting Architect learns from Communication, HR, Adult education, etc. - On the science side a meeting Architect learns from mainly Sociology, Psychology, Neurology and many other… The name Meeting Architecture was described for the first time in the book by Mazarten Vanneste: ‘Meeting Architecture, a manifesto’ (MSI, 2008 isbn/ean 978-90-9022985-0) first print April 2008.
