Matthew Ryan Page (born March 8, 1989) is an American artist who is upcoming in the Georgia art scene. Matthew placed 2nd for the 2008 Federal Junior Duck Stamp contest in the state of Georgia. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service made two prints of "Masked Duck" by Matthew Ryan Page which were on exhibit throughout GA in 2008 and 2009. These two prints of "Masked Duck" rotated to Elachee Nature Center located in Gainesville, GA, to Oatland Island Education Center located in Savannah, GA, and Macon Museum of Arts and Science located in Macon, GA."Masked Duck" was also on exhibit at Magnolia Manor which is located in Richmond Hill, GA in early 2009. "Lady Mallard" by Matthew Ryan Page has also received a lot of attention throughout Georgia. "Lady Mallard" is a highly detailed acrylic on canvas piece of a female mallard duck. "Lady Mallard" was published in The Arts on the Coast 2009 Calendar. "Lady Mallard" went on exhibit at "What's the Scope?" in early 2009. Early Life Matthew was born in Hopkinsville, KY, is the son of Randy Page, an officer in the U.S. Army and Sherry Page, a government employee. Matthew has been drawing since 1996. In 2nd grade his teacher called in his parents in order to bring to their attention Matthew's natural talent for the arts. Since 1998, Matthew has taken both private and public art classes. It wasn't until 2004 that Matthew started painting. His parents bought him a set of oil paints for his birthday. They also signed him up for a local adult oil painting class. Since 2004, Matthew has worked majority in oils and acrylics. After highschool in 2008, Matthew attended Savannah College of Art and Design for a quarter. After this, he transferred to Georgia Southern University in Spring 2009 Visit to view the work of Matthew Ryan Page.
