Matt Hader (born August 16, 1960, Evanston, IL) is an American novelist, screenwriter, and producer. Biography Hader was raised on Chicago’s north side, and in Park Ridge, IL. He is the 7th of 8 children born to Joan Enright Hader, a retired banker, and Art Hader, the former Vice President of Lands' End. He graduated from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Illinois, and attended Oklahoma State University. He and his wife Lori Hader have two sons together. After college, Hader studied at The Second City, worked for a time as an emergency 9-1-1 communications officer, and as a DJ for various radio stations in the Chicago area. He resides in Barrington, IL and San Mateo, CA. His brother, Rick Hader, aka Myron Noodleman, is the official Clown Prince of Baseball. He’s represented by Preferred Artists Agency. Screenwriting Credits His screenwriting credits include: * Dead Horse (2004), starring Daniel Von Bargen. * King Leisure SOB (2004), starring Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens. In addition, he has had several other screenplays optioned. Producing Credits Hader’s producing credits include: * April's Fool (2001). * Dead Horse (2004). Other Works He served as Creative Consultant on the ESPN baseball documentary, 7th Inning Stretch (2006), starring Bruce Springsteen, Gene Simmons, and Joan Jett. Hader has written many articles for magazines and websites devoted to screenwriting and filmmaking.
