MatheMagic is a science popularisation organisation based in York whose original aim was to popularise mathematics. It works with Travellers, disabled and homel;ess people, and the local and national community generally. Several television programmes were made about MatheMagic and its activities. MathMagic originally ran from the original home of Elmfield College, and initiated the York Computer Bus (now run by BBC Radio York) and then in 2003 merged with . Mathemagic has worrked with many national organisations including the London Mathematical Society, the Royal Institution and the British Museum. MatheMagic was instrumental in developing the York Science Festival run by Science City York. MatheMagic was the national organiser for Maths Year 2000 and Count On * |
