Masood Ahmad

Syed Masood Ahmad (4 August 1915 - 14 February 1997), was the Ameer of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen
Beliefs
He laid emphasis on the following:
* The unity of Muslims.
* Separation from all sects of the Ummah.
* Abandonment of all sectarian names and creed.
* Strict adherence to sunnah.
According to Ahmad, the correct path is the Jamaat-al-Muslimeen. Without Imam Jamaah, a person will die the death of Jahiliya. Even in the absence of a Caliphate, the Muslims' obligation to remain united in the form of one Jamaah, under one Imam and doing their baiyah remains.
History
* Before reviving Jamaat ul Muslimeen he was member of the Ghurba Ahle Hadith sect. He was well known in the Ahle Hadith circle. Prior to disassociating himself from the Ahle Hadith sect, he wrote two books from their platform, these being Tafeem-ul-Islam and Talash-e-Haq.
