Marxel

Marxel (born Marxel Antonio Lavallier Lopez) is an American actor, musician and multi-media artist of mixed Mexican, Spanish Basque and French decent.
Entertainment career
Marxel is related to Dr. Julian Nava, a diplomat and renowned civil rights activist. Marxel studied fine arts, film and photography at Cornell University before taking a one year leave to return to Hollywood.
In 2006 Marxel entered the Hollywood club scene, where he initially networked for management and film roles. This experience compelled Marxel to turn to music, a decision which soon landed him a record deal with KRAM Records. His first album was generally well received in the underground LA club scene. Marxel's performances have been described as highly provocative, reflecting an androgynous tone of sexual invitation. The artist promoted his music for one more year before returning to school in order to complete his undergraduate degree.
In February 2008, Marxel's on-campus art opening received critical acclaim from the Cornell community and school newspaper. The exhibition showcased his Van Dyke photo processes, which he embossed onto animal skins, combined with photographic works reflecting on the role of gender in pop culture.
Marxel played the role of a school child in the 2006 HBO film Walkout, which portrayed the 1968 East L.A. Walkouts and featured actor Edward James Olmos, who portrayed Dr. Nava.
