Martin bamford

Martin Robert Bamford (born July 4, 1979) is a British financial adviser, author and managing director of Informed Choice Ltd, a firm of Chartered Financial Planners.
Bamford was born in West Bromwich and received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Winchester. He became a financial adviser for Informed Choice Ltd in 2002 where he later became a director and shareholder.
Bamford wrote his first book, The Money Tree, in 2006.
In 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Bamford was included in the Professional Adviser magazine list of the most influential financial advisers in Britain.
Career
After graduating from University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Business Administration, Bamford became a broker consultant for NPI and then Standard Life. He became an Independent Financial Adviser in 2002 and qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2007. Bamford also became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional in 2007.

Awards
He was awarded Best IFA Individual and Best Social Media IFA at the Unbiased.co.uk Media IFA of the Year Awards 2011. Bamford was runner-up for Best Best Pensions IFA at the same awards.
Bamford was Highly Commended for the Professional Adviser/Baillie Gifford Financial Education Award in 2008 and was winner of the Most Thought-Provoking title at the Art of Pensions Awards 2008.
As Managing Director of Informed Choice Ltd, he has contributed to the success of the business in winning IFA of the Year at the Money Marketing Financial Services Awards 2010 and the Gold Standard for Independent Financial Advice at the Gold Standard Awards 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010.
