Martin Armand (born in Tehran) is an Iranian graphic designer and body painter. Armand grew up in Iran and was involved in drawing portraits including portraits of Iranian soldiers who died in Iran-Iraq war. During his military service in the war, Armand suffered a chemical-bomb attack . He left Iran in 1990 to study airbrush techniques in Los Angeles. After years of work, he gained international reputation. Armand has won several awards and his works have been featured on the covers of numerous magazines . Armand is well known for his use of human body as canvas. He draws various pictures including symbols of Persian culture, art and history on human bodies. Armand is currently based in Canada.
