A Unique Relationship Marriage by definition is a union between a man and a woman recognized by the state, the church or both. Any other description is a modification or change of the definition. For example, a joining between a man and a man or a woman and a woman is not a marriage, but another form of civil relationship. To include that type of enjoinment is to change the definition. By changing the definition there is nothing unique about the union of a man and a woman. What is a union? When two different entities unite to yield something different from either two separate entities. It's called a marriage because there are two different beings uniting to become one. Red and blue when united make purple. Red and red simply make red. 50% cabernet wine blended with 50% merlot wine make neither a cabernet nor a merlot but a blend of the two as one meritage red wine. To make an appliance work with a male plug it must be inserted into a female electrical outlet in order for there to be a union. Two male plugs or two female outlets cannot join to make a union. Two males/females wishing to come together yields a joining of males/females, but not a union. A man and a woman coming together yield one special relationship under the eyes of God and the state with the unique ability to pro-create to continue the process. The union of a man and woman is subsequently unique and therefore has been recognized by societies around the world with the distinction of marriage.
