Marlon Arias

Marlon Derrick Arias (born September 1, 1984 in Bani, Dominican Republic) is a pitcher in Minor League Baseball, who is currently a free agent.
Arias was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a non-drafted free agent on March 11, 2003. He played two seasons with the Santo Domingo Dodgers in the Dominican Summer League in 2003-2004 and then played for the Ogden Raptors in 2005.
In 2006, with the Columbus Catfish he went 7-6 with 109 strikeouts and only 38 walks in 107.2 innings and was selected to play in the South Atlantic League All-Star game.
In 2007 he played for the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino and pitched a nine-inning no-hitter on May 9. He tied for third in the California League in wins with 12.
In 2008, he was promoted to the Jacksonville Suns, where he was 7-3 with a 4.90 ERA in 14 starts for the Suns.
In 2009, recovering from an injury, he split the season between Inland Empire and the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes.
