Markus King(born 2/8/1950) is a full time artist. Born in Manhattan Beach, California. He has been painting art since the age of 11. His art work is well known for its link to poetry, a subject he enjoys dearly.
He travelled the world working as an international management adviser, which has also influenced his paintings. Whilst on business trips, in his spare time he would paint. His paintings are distinctive for their Romantic influence. On one hand he explores the idealistic view of life; On the other hand, a lot of his paintings depict the harsh reality of the business world and life’s realities. He has quoted poets such as Matthew Arnold, John Keats and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
