Marina Bonnaire is a fictional character in the BBC soap opera, Doctors. She is portrayed by Marian McLoughlin and made her first on-screen appearance on 25 October 2011. Character Creation It was announced in spring 2011, that a new Nurse/ Health Visitor was to join the cast later on in the year. In August it was confirmed that Marian McLoughlin was to play the part. She was introduced to be the love interest of long-standing regular, Dr Heston Carter. Character Background Marina is the new Health Visitor at the Mill Health Centre. She is well-liked by most staff, especially Dr Heston Carter whom she is in a relationship with. Because of her relationship with Heston, receptionist Mrs Tembe has became very jealous of her, as she too has feelings for Heston. In November 2011, she moved into Heston's house, to son Ian's disaproval, but Ian did help move her things into his house. |
