Ted Paige, played by Michael Byrne , is a fictional character on the UK soap opera Coronation Street. He is the long lost father of Gail Platt and will be entered the soap in Summer 2008. He made his first appearance on 28 April 2008. On his arrival, Ted will reveal he is gay. Storylines Arrival on the Street/Gail Ted arrived in Coronation Street, as Audrey's old flame, got in touch with him. They agreed to meet, and talk about what had happened in the 50 years they had been separated. Audrey, before splitting up with Ted discovered she was pregnant and didn't want to tell him. This resulted in Gail being born. When Audrey mentioned this, Ted became agitated and was very upset as he realised he had missed out on 50 years of his daughters life and had never seen his grandchildren, Nick, Sarah and David or his great grandchildren, Bethany and Billy. |
