Margaux with an X is a book written by Ron Koertge. It's about a goregous teenager in highschool who is very popular. She has a razor sharp wit and is the dream girl for every teenage male. Her dad is professional gambler and Margaux hates him.Margaux's mother is shopping channel addict. After dates,guys say she is cruel and nasty,telling everyone what she was like and getting her deep into uncomfortable situations with other guys.Guys love to touch her which makes her snap then that's where they get the whole cruel idea. Then she meets Danny Riley- a scrawny oddball who works for the Humane Socitery part-time. He has a few painful memories like Margaux. He seems to be not as popular in the school but Margaux starts to like him. Spending time with him and his aunt. He prays at meals and reads after dinner, he helps his sick aunt and reads to her at night. Margaux's friend,Sara,has no clue why she likes him and sets Margaux on dates she truly hates. All her life she's paid a price for being beautiful...and it leads to drama for this teenager.
This book is right for girls who like odd couple romances and teenage novels. This is a great book and it has lots of exciting times you can't put it down.
