Synopsis
The story is set in Perth in the 1960s - and is based around the nine lives of the cabaret dancers who work at a late night jazz lounge.
Beginning in the 1950s - a beautiful woman dances in front of an elderly man. That woman is the unstable mother of Julia, one of the cabaret girls who work at the Kittens Club.
You go deep into the lives Julia and her outgoing best friend Sara, as well as the other dancers, in the times of war, friendship, freedom - and the fight.
Production
Filming commenced on the 23rd of February 2010 - and was completed in 7 full days.
Locations included the famous late night burgery Alfreds Kitchen in Guilford, Guilford Grammar School, Commercial Tavern and Budget Motel Midland, the Midland Town Hall and Junction Arts Centre, Chapel Farm and Jane Brook Wineries, The Coffee Hut in the Swan Valley, and more.
