Marcus Creasy

Marcus Creasy is a fictional character created by AJ Quinnell in a series of 5 novels.
Creasy served in the French Foreign Legion and fought in the Algerian War in the early sixties. He then became a mercenary and fought in Africa, Middle East and South East Asia before he retired from warfare battlefields.
He is over six feet tall, square and broad. The outsides of the feet make contact with the ground first when he walks.
He speaks three languages fluently to native levels; English with a slight American accent, Italian with a Neapolitan accent, and French (accent unknown).
Early life
Creasy was born in the state of Tennessee, USA. A lot of his childhood and adolescence is unknown, but he had an unhappy time. He joined the Marines to get away from home when he was 17 years old, and was a sergeant when he was dishonorably discharged for striking a senior officer.
French Foreign Legion
He has served at least for 5 years in the French Foreign Legion, and at the initial contract renewal time, he took on French citizenship.
Both Creasy and his life-time best friend, Guido Arrellio were members of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment, commonly called "the Second REP", which participated in the Algiers putsch of 1961. As the coup failed, the regiment blew up their barracks and marched out singing "Non, je ne regrette rien".
As a mercenary
As a mercenary, he served in the Rhodesian Bush War, Congo, Biafra, Angola, and Vietnam.
