Boom Tiyaya

"Boom Tiyaya" is a song by the Filipino all-male dance group Streetboys. It was the first single to be released from their 1997 album, Turbulence Wild StreetDanz. It was written by Eazer Pastor and Edwin Pastor and produced by Nicko Manalo. The song was engineered by Chito Victoriano and Gerardo Vergel Floriana, and mixed by Marcelo Vergel Emiliano and Mamerto Virgilias.
Background
"Boom Tiyaya" was the Streetboys' signature song, when their label, PolyCosmic Records, was absored by PolyGram in August 1996. The Streetboys signed with Infiniti Music, the precursor of GMA Records.
The independently-released single was initially played as a demo at the Manila-based radio station Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM in 1997. Listener reaction to the single was so positive, The Streetboys became a byword in dance music and won over a large and loyal following. On the strength of that, they managed to secure a recording contract with PolyGram.
