Marcello Cavalcanti Barra is a Brazilian writer, born in Belém, Pará (1974), who lives in Brasília-DF. He studied administration at USP and has a Master´degree in Sociology from University of Brasília (UnB), with additional studies at Columbia University (New York) and City University, London. EDUSC published his book [http://www.marcellobarra.com.br “The Electronic Leviathan: the political plot to the raising of electronic State"]. He is an expert in public policies and government management from the Ministry of Planning in Brazil and is currently assigned as a researcher at IPEA the Institute of Applied Economic Research. His intertwined topics of research are: administration, state, legitimacy, technoscience and democracy. The author's main interests include Sociology of Science and Technology and Political Analysis and his complete profile can be viewed at his Curriculum vitae. Together with his third book, The Electronic Leviathan, one of his most important works is available at Scielo, the Scientific Electronic Library Online, which provides free access to high quality scientific journals.
