Christian Pippan is a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of International Law and International Relations at the University of Graz, Austria. Academic career Pippan studied law and political science at the University of Graz from 1987 - 1994, his was accepted with honours. From 1992 to 1994 he worked as a teaching assistant at the University's Institute of International Law. This was followed by doctoral studies from 1997 - 2001. He was granted Doctor iuris with honours. From 09/2002 to 08/2003 he was a visiting scholar with the Hauser Global Law School Program from the NYU School of Law, New York. From 09/2003 until 02/2004 he was an Emile Noël Fellow with the Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law and Justice, New York University School of Law.
