Maplestory simulators

There are several Maplestory Simulators (also called Maplestory clones) and Maplestory-based games. They are usually created in either Actionscript or Game Maker Language. Private servers for maplestory have also been made, but note that they are not simulators, but rather allow the player to play the official game on an unofficial server. The main advantages of these Private Servers are you can gain levels faster and make money easily. The disadvantages are that most Private Servers are set in earlier versions of the game and don't offer a full game experience. They are also illegal under the copying clause of the Nexon End User License Agreement. Many MapleStory Private Servers offer fast teleporting to monster maps and all-in-one shops, which make the gameplay much easier. Rebirth Most Private Servers have a function named "Rebirth". A Rebirth's function is for restarting you character back to level 1, or the maximum level, from level 200. The reason for these "Rebirths" are so the player can continue their game without stopping at the max level. Rebirths are very convenient because they let you keep all your old ability points, making you even stronger than before. After you "Rebirth", you can select a new job to increase the replay value of private servers.
