These areas have been suffering continually due to the Kashmir dispute and the battles of Siachen and Kargil were fought over this peaceful region. Yet, its people and their concerns have not been addressed ever by any of these two countries. This area is not developing because of the politics of arms and guns and lack of struggle and both the countries have converted this area into the "Silence Zone" of disputed Kashmir"
