Mangalassery Neelakandan is a character played by the Indian actor Mohanlal in the Malayalam movie Devasuram, directed by I. V. Sasi. This role is widely touted to be the most memorable performance by this actor. This character has shades of a villainous feudal lord and is also present in the movie's sequel, Ravanaprabhu. Mangalassery is the ancestral home of the protagonist of this storyline, Neelakandan. The character is shown to squander all the wealth of the estate, indulging in all sorts of vices. Devasuram Devasuram is the son of the Tamil father who was killed by Shekharan's family. Ravanaprabhu realeved Neelaan and Bhanu had married and they had a son named Karthikeyan Mullassery Raju Neelakandan was based of Mullassery Raju who disbaled by his rival after that he quit and married Lakshmi Rajagopal(base of Bhanumathi) they had a daughter although in Ravanaphabu Neelakandan and Bhanumathi has son.
