Mandel Cook

Mandel Cook (August 21, 1983-Present) is an East Tennessee author. His most notable work is Bat Creek Stone: At a Glance from his series of short history books. He was born in Sequatchie County, Tennessee in 1983. He is married to Rachel Cook, the great great grandaughter of Luther Meade Blackman. Blackman was accused of forging the Bat Creek inscription. Cook started a book about Blackman when he decided to write a book about the Bat Creek Stone to clear Blackman's name prior to doing a biography on him. The book is the first printed description of Luther Blackman's connection other than newspaper articles.
